MUSIC NIGHT AND SONG CONTEST
ESWW 2026 -After Dark

Join us for the ESWW 2026 Music Night, an evening of live music, friendly competition and networking in the heart of Florence!
The Hard Rock Cafe Firenze opened on 14 June 2011, exactly 40 years after the first Hard Rock Cafe opened in London. It is located in central Piazza della Repubblica, inside the historic Cinema Gambrinus, and it preserves that building's original spirit and architecture.
The Cafe is also a museum of rock memorabilia that traces the history of music from the 1950s to today. Its more than 60 items include the jacket John Lennon wore in "How I Won the War" and The Who's Vespa from the 1973 film "Quadrophenia".
The restaurant hall will be reserved exclusively for ESWW participants for the whole evening.

ESWW 2026 Song of the Week Competition
Are you ready to unleash your inner rock star, lyricist, or mad scientist (in the best way possible)?
We’ve decided to turn up the volume at our upcoming music night! We are officially opening the floor for the self-made lyric competition for the “2026 ESWW-song-of-the-week”. We’ll be performing these live during the music night, i.e., the Space Weather Community will be asked to vote on-site. Hence, don't be shy, start brainstorming, pick your tune, and get writing!
The Challenge: Take a well-known song and rewrite the lyrics to fit your preferred Space (Weather) theme.
The only rule? It has to be actually singable! You dont have people to play or sing? Let us know and we fully support you!
The Prizes: We’ve got sparkling wine, chocolate, and – the ultimate prize – the honor to be the official “ESWW 2026 Song of the Week Winner”!

A professional stage and backline will be provided for performers, including a complete drum kit, bass and guitar amplifiers, audio equipment, microphones, and essential stage equipment. A sound technician will be on site, together with a large projection screen and plasma screens throughout the venue for videos and visuals. Laptop connectivity will also be available for presentations, videos, and backing tracks.
